Hello all!
Okay, update 0.4 of Naughty Doug is ready well ahead of schedule but not lessened for that in the least (more on that later).
First, tier 2 relationship and familiarity scenes are now implemented for Verity and Gloria. This means that their tier 3 activities are now also available. That was actually already included in the game actually, but now you can progress to the point that you can actually access it. In the reverse situation, tier 4 content has also been added for all the girls, but you’ll only be able to access it for Imogen because you can’t reach that point with Verity and Gloria… I am very well organised (lol).
Now, why is this update so early? Two reasons! First, I finished my other game! (It’s called ‘Too Lewd!’ if you’re not familiar – go check it out if you like!). That was taking about half of my game dev time, so with it no longer on my plate the time I had for ‘Naughty Doug’ suddenly doubled. The second thing is that I am… moderately less employed than I was before. I still have my job, just not the same hours. That’s basically doubled the time I have available for game dev. So… two doubling, four times the progress. Updates have become large and rapid, not because I’m rushing but because I suddenly have a LOT of time.
On a related note, the next update will be in a fortnight and it will complete the game. I can say that with certainty because I’ve already done all the work. Like I said, I have had a LOT of extra time. And it’s just… done. From the get go Naughty Doug has a had a very controlled scope. It has an exact number of locations, characters activities and scenes that go with all of them. There’s a spreadsheet and everything and that spreadsheet’s been filled. Now I’m just making sure it all comes together nicely (and I think it does! The more content I’ve added the more meaningful everything has felt!).
