Baker Company of the Udren Empire's Penal Unit D-16 'Dune Sirens' begin their crossing of the entrenched Mississippi River, seeking to open a second front in the south according to D-16 commander, Major Kane's plan. The Siege of Memphis has ground to a complete halt, marking its fourth day since its pursuit of Bastiran remnants from the burning of Little Rock.

Klara Chlebek, later to be known as "Waste", stands among the ranks. It's only been days since her first deployment in Little Rock, AR. Even then, she only saw the aftermath.
