The RAND Corporation Episode (Part 2 of 2) with Thomas Murphy
DESCRIPTION

We've wanted to start bringing you some additional content and so here's the first guest episode. For these once a month we'll be just recording a conversation with one of our friends who've been discussing our research topics with. This one features Thomas Murphy and we talk philosophy of math, science, and economics.

I had originally intended for this month's big episode to cover the world trade center movement, but the documents we were able to recover on Permindex are very extensive, and we need to return to the archives to scan additional material.

In the meantime, a subscriber asked if we could do a show recommending our favorite books on political economy. To that end me and the Admiral recorded a nice two hour bonus chat. But, while editing that I began having a lot of questions. This ended up kicking off a very intensive investigation into the political economy of the Restoration which has lead us to a lot of interesting information on William Petty, James Harrington, Josiah Child, Samuel Pepys, and the Royal Society. So, I hope this nice discussion with Thomas Murphy can tide you over while we wrap that one up.
