A toy company makes a Barbie-like doll, Trinette, but it comes under fire for changes to Trinette that have her now sporting unrealistic proportions. Despite the company’s claims that it’s a normal modern update and not to boost lagging sales, complaints are abound about Trinette setting a bad image for kids.
The company’s internal team, annoyed with the changes they were forced to make by the business side and now their denials in the press, morph the lead designer to an even more extreme version and claim “she” invented the doll to normalize her looks because she was mocked as a kid. The Media now feels bad about their complaints because Trinette was based on a real person and sales go way up. The "real" Trinette does photo shoots to set up a fake backstory (like as a cheerleader in her sorority when she started to grow and face jokes) and plenty of interviews to reveal she joined the business world working from home to stay hidden and that's where she met the boss of the toy company.
Not only do toy sales go up, but all the positive coverage has the company’s stock shooting up too. Trinette gets sent to the red carpet for the stellar movie premier and now she owns a mountain chalet as her dream house, and everybody learned a valuable lesson about body positivity.
