A true and noble knight is returning from a quest for the king. Our knight decides to pass through the enchanted woods on his return, as the people of the kingdom have some complaints about the lands. While venturing, the knight is accosted by a wicked witch, who is none too pleased with the royal family as she was forced to reside in the woods. She knows she can’t get to the whole royal family, so for vengeance, she uses her magic against the knight. Stripping away his armor and tools, the witch transforms the knight into a comely wench.
Stumbling back into the city and telling of his woes, the knight finally makes it back to the castle and shares his tale with his sweetheart, a royal witch. She agrees to help, but the wicked witch’s powers are too strong. The good witch can hold back the spell a little, but the evil magics are too strong and the knight zaps back to his new form.
After studying this strange magic, the royal witch figures that the evil witch must have to keep a constant flow of sinister power to the knight to keep him transformed and that a stronger spell would drain even more power from the wicked witch. The knight is sent back into the forest with a sword as a magical trap.
Taking the bait, the witch amplifies her spell, transforming the knight more and more, making him too frail to even wield his sword now, and much too pumped with magic to fight. As the wicked witch drains more of her power into the knight’s spell, the royal witch makes her appearance and binds the now weakened wicked witch. Before delivering magical justice, the royal witch stops and addresses the wicked witch by name, quite sternly.
We reveal that the two witches used to date and did not have a clean breakup. It was the wicked witch herself that spread tales among the villagers about strange goings in the woods as a means to draw out royal knights until she found the one that was to blame for stealing her girlfriend at the urging of the royals. Even though they were most definitely broken up by the time the royal witch started dating the knight and if the wicked witch hadn’t been so possessive they surely wouldn’t have broken up so messily in the first place!
After much bickering, the two witches separate in a huff and the royal witch helps her very confused and very full of curse magics knight to his now dainty feet. Demanding that the wicked witch return her boyfriend to normal, the evil spellcaster snidely comments that in her younger days, the royal witch would have thanked the spell for providing such a curvaceous girlfriend. The royal witch can’t help but laugh and agree that she identified the wicked witch’s spell right away and it took some goading to get herself to agree to cure her boyfriend. Maybe the knight doesn’t have to be cured just this minute and he WAS quite noble and courageous to agree to be bait in a witch fight, so maybe the two witches can set aside their differences and find a way to show the knight they appreciate his valor. Maybe teach him a spell or two in return because you can’t have a coven with just two witches, but three sounds like a good number.
