With college starting soon, the mom and son drive up to the school together, their relationship considerably better now. Mom wants him to promise that he won’t use his power anymore and the son cautiously agrees. However, one month into school, he starts to miss the excitement of battle and helping people and starts transforming on the weekends. Soon enough, weekend monster fighting becomes nightly monster fighting and the changes are worse than ever.
After seeing a report on TV, the mom comes up for a surprise visit only to find our hero with an hourglass figure. She chastises him for being transformed in the middle of the day but he admits he’s not actually transformed now. The “in-between” form is even cuter and curvier than his magical girl form. The two have to come to terms with their family having addictive personalities and that they both need help dealing with drinking and monster fighting.
With therapy, our lead manages to make it through his first semester of college and returns home for the break. Being back home makes things harder as he’s surrounded by locations and triggers from his last summer of magical girling. The occult spirits seem to have taken notice of his erratic behavior and are prodding and goading him into changing, staging minor nightly attacks on our realm and running away rather than fighting. Even his magical attack wand seems to be talking to him now, whispering about how much easier his duties would be if he shared his gifts with other humans. It’s not long before the wand starts reminding him that the sooner he has daughters of his own, the sooner he could have a whole family team. This is enough to break the hold his magical girl addiction and he goes to his mother for help.
Mom goes to the basement and opens a compartment under the tiles to reveal her former attack wand and that it’s time she and her son destroy the gateway between realms and the source of the magical girl power forever.
