DESCRIPTION

Battle Royales were a neat genre of games but it was boring that they were almost all shooters or crafting-survival games. We need to make a new kind, so we have... Slay Offs! It's a battle royale game, but instead of being a shooter or having any direct combat, it's about being the only person to survive a round of lay offs at a corporation.

You have a list of tasks you need to accomplish each round, but it’s not enough to do your work well, you need to sabotage your co-workers too. You call out bad work the other people have done, monopolize or even sabotage office equipment, try to pin the blame on them for stuff they didn't do, and cover your own ass to make sure you can't get blamed when things do go wrong. Just make sure none of the bosses or managers catch you directly doing bad against the company itself. They may look the other way for mild pranks against your co-workers (the other players) but they will not stand for harming the company’s name or costing them money on repairs or damages.

The intro is a series of mini-games where you have to write as many reports/crunch numbers and the time when the play space is shrinking, that's when you can start shifting blame so other people get laid off first. The play space shrinks more and more as the office shrinks due to all the downsizing, until there are only a few people left, almost everybody gets laid off, and the winner gets to be made a middle manager of the now tiny team.

During the mini-game time, you can focus on doing good work or you can use that time to start covering your ass and seeding blame on others, so it's about managing how much work you're doing vs how much you're setting others up to fail. Kids need to learn the importance of CYA at an early age and training them up on the cutthroat world of office drudgery would be a sure fire hit.
