I don’t think this show would actually be great to watch week after week, but man it would be funny to see/write the concept.
Our show takes place in the evil castle of the demonic Dracula. After dozens and dozens of cycles of rebirth and slayings by vampire hunters, the castle has devolved into the atmosphere of a standard office workplace sitcom. The monsters and forces of Chaos are still bound to serving him and the castle, but now Dracula is the boss everybody talks crap about behind his back when he’s dead again and waiting to revive. The minions go about their tasks with the energy of an office grunt with a dead end job in a small town, trudging through unlife, mugging at the camera, and forming the easy bonds that the kind of person watching weekday night sitcoms would enjoy. Everybody knows they need to be working on reviving Dracula, but it takes a long time so they run out of steam pretty quickly and it gets very casual.
Your succubi have gone from being temptress demons to the ones responsible for calling around to order the evil materials needed to perform the rituals. Skeletons ALWAYS get stuck in the warehouse and zombies run maintenance. The demons from The Pit have been around for so long they know they’re not going to get fired, so they mostly sit around doing puzzles, playing cards, or surfing the Internet. IT, reception, and HR still need to be done to keep the castle running. The personification of Death is the only one to takes its job seriously, but that just leads to them being hated and pranked on by everybody else.
Sure, the occasional villager wanders into the castle grounds and they get eaten pretty quickly, but everything is routine. Heroes show up from time to time to hassle the crew, but they get bored too just fighting grunts they can easily beat and become annoying guests. It’s less worrying about being whipped to death and now more about how to get them to leave.
I figure that in the last episode of every season, Dracula finally gets revived, but after the summer break, Dracula is already dead again by the first episode of the new season.
