Hope everyone is doing OK and life is treating you well.
Been a busy week on Season 2 and happy to say that Chapter 10 is ready for QC testing, and it was sent to our QC team last night. So far, they've only spotted a few minor errors. Remember... Season 2 will consist of Chapters 7-12, so this means that 4 out of 6 chapters are at the QC test stage, with lots of progress completed on the remaining two chapters.
I'm still hoping to have Chapter 11 (the 5th from 6) ready for QC testing in the next 10-12 days. With the exception of one small scene, all artwork on Ch11 is complete and we are currently going doing a full pass through of the script to make sure everything is in order, adding music and making sure all the new imagery and dialog match up. Note: When I say a chapter is finsihed / ready, I mean all artwork, dialog, pathing, variables, etc. are complete, but it could still need some minor additions (such as music, sfx, etc.). The plan will be to make those minor tweaks next month while the game is in the Steam review process.
That will leave me with three weeks to complete the last chapter, Chapter 12 (aiming for mid August to get it into the Steam review queue) which is ambitious but do-able, because we have already completed a LOT of work on it.
So far... For Chapters 7-11, we have re-done ALL art, but for Chapter 12, there are at least two scenes where I feel that the artwork only needs to be tweaked, rather than fully re-done. I was expecting us to re-use more of the original art, but on comparison, it WAS a massive improvement on the earlier original artwork, but it still wasn't good enough for the rework, so that's why we ended up re-doing more than we had originally planned.
I'll be in touch real soon with another dev update and will also have an update on this month's 4K images. For previous teasers, I've been hopping all over the place depending on which scene we had worked on or added to, but for the next few updates, I'll try something different. As we are getting closer to the end, I'm going to release some teasers to show the choronology of Season 2, starting with Chapter 7 and work my way forward. I'll cover Chapter 8 in the next update and continue on from there, so you get a good picture of what's in store and in what sequence. I'll aim to include at least one image per scene in order.
