Hello everyone!
Before we begin this month's meeting, I'd first like to give a warm welcome to all the new Sinners who have joined us. I honestly never expected to see so many new souls among us, and I truly feel honored. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart! Thank you for being here and for making this adventure possible.
With that said, I hope you're all doing well despite the unbearable heat we've been experiencing around the world. To keep things hot on my end, here are this month's updates! 🔥
1/ ⛧ New Project & Development ⛧
I've been working with Harder this month on the first animatic version of my new project. I really wanted to show you something that would spark your curiosity and make you excited to see what's coming next.
As you can already tell, this project is far more ambitious than Sakura x Naruto. Thanks to your support, I'll finally be able to dedicate myself to it fully!
There's still a lot of work to do, and several parts are still missing. A continuation of this animatic, as well as an outro, are already planned. One month goes by quickly, and as you know, good things take time.
The storyboard and animatic phases are essential parts of the creative process. They allow me to build an animation that will truly stand out. Artists like Derpixon, Speedoru, Flou, and Tabuley are major inspirations, and the level of quality they achieve is exactly what I want to deliver to you.
Rushing this stage or my work as a whole is simply not an option for me. My goal is to build a solid foundation for the entire animation and its storytelling, so there won't be unpleasant surprises later during production.
Most importantly, I want to create an anime worthy of the pleasures and temptations of lust itself.
2/ 📜 Lore & Animatic Explanation 📜
I usually don't like talking about things that aren't finished or fully defined yet, but I'd like to share the current direction I'm considering for the characters featured in this anime.
Disclaimer: Everything below, including the names and descriptions is subject to change.
"Sebastian" – The sleeping man is a doctor specialising in demonology. His primary field of obsessive studies succubus. Having found refuge in a monastery, he spends every waking moment immersed in his research.
"Elizabeth" (Lisa) – A young volunteer parishioner who has developed a crush on the doctor ever since he arrived at the monastery. She's naturally shy, clumsy, and awkward. Think Velma from Scooby-Doo.
"Lust" – The physical embodiment of Elizabeth's deepest desires. Although born from those desires, she develops her own body, personality, and individuality. Lust has a playful brat personality almost dominant at times but secretly longs to be tamed.
3/ 🩸 Taking Part in the Creative Process 🩸
I want this project to excite you just as much as it excites me.
There are so many ideas and possibilities I'd love to include, but difficult choices have to be made, and not everything can fit into a single animation.
Over the coming months, I'd like to create character sheets that you'll be able to influence. You'll be presented with different choices, allowing you to actively participate in shaping this anime.
So stay tuned your feedback will help define the project!
One last thing.
The SAL project is a large-scale production, and as you can imagine, it will take time. I also know that some of you may enjoy smaller animation releases in the meantime, such as short loops featuring already established characters.
To give you a say in how things move forward, I'd like you to choose between these two approaches:
100% focused on the SAL project
70% focused on the SAL project + one short character loop (chosen through a poll) approximately every two months.
