Dynasty may have lost the March Match-Ups, but she definitely didn’t leave empty... handed.

One of my favorite things about the March Match-Ups event is watching the characters continue to live beyond the bracket. (Scroll down to see what I mean...)

Sometimes that means rivalries.

Sometimes that means unexpected team-ups.

And sometimes… it means a very disappointed supervillainess finding a very willing distraction backstage after a tough loss.

After Dynasty’s defeat at the hands of Phenomenal Lass, she was feeling more than a little crestfallen. Fortunately for her, Surgat — the towering Deshrouder Demon with a talent for uncovering secrets — happened to be nearby while waiting for Desi’s next match.

And when the magnificent MILF asked whether he had any ideas for a consolation prize…

Well.

Surgat was happy to oblige.

I really liked the contrast in this piece between Dynasty’s sultry confidence and Surgat’s tightly wound nervous energy. There’s something fun about two characters clearly wanting the exact same thing while pretending this is all very casual and reasonable behavior.

(Reader, it was not.)

This illustration is part of the continuing fallout from March Match-Ups — where apparently losing a tournament can still end in victory if you play your cards right.
