Jet Stream finally gets a chance to relax after a long day of seaside misadventures — and discovers that her suspiciously comfortable green pool float has a few extra features.
This commission gave me a chance to revisit Elastic Man in exactly the kind of role he was born to play: supportive, flexible, and absolutely not approved by any pool-safety organization. I loved the idea of Jet Stream trying to enjoy a quiet afternoon in the sun, only to realize that the “pool float” beneath her is much more enthusiastic than advertised.
I wrote a short microfic to go along with this one, playing up the summery setup, Jet Stream’s discovery, and Elastic Man’s very hands-on approach to relaxation.
