We're here for another update to Coffee Buns, this time featuring your favorite hunky otter! We mentioned we'd most likely be updating the Ash story this month, but some availability with certain dev members meant we had to shift gears for this new chapter. We're also entering a new phase for development heading into the new year, but we'll share all of that in January and show you what you have in store this update:
New Story - Roman Date 2
Leo finally revealed who he was to Roman after the events of their first date, and now each of them have to figure out what that means for them. But, before that, there's still some Kemono Tea-enhanced activities to take part in! Both Leo and Roman get a new appropriate furry form as they participate in a mountain-climbing activity.
After that, there's a lot to hash out about their feelings for each other and where they want to go from there. But at the end, both of them get something they want that might set things in motion in the future.
As an additional note, based on some feedback and internal discussion, we have changed the ending of the first Roman date to leave things more up in the air than they were previously. If you'd like to see the new status quo before starting this new chapter, you can skip to the end of the scene on the couch to see how things have changed.
New Art - New In-progress CGs and a Finished Sprite
First, our quintet of cameos late in the VN is nearing completion with a fourth finished sprite waiting to check out.
Second, we've got a lot of in-progress CGs for this update of Leo and Roman hanging out and maybe doing a little bit more than that. These are all in an in-progress state at the moment, ranging from lined to sketched, which is less far-along than we usually include, but Mira had a big batch of Crossed Signals this month, and will be completing these next month. In the meantime, you get a peek into the process that we get to witness every month from Mira.
Bug Fixes - Android Improvements
If you've been playing on Android recently, you might have noticed some issues with image placement or character elements. We figured out this is because a new version of Ren'py now produces errors where previous versions did not. Mostly it had to do with the new Ren'py being more strict with case sensitivity. Sorry to all our mobile users, but we've got things back to normal now!
