Hello to all our patrons and welcome to a very big, very wide-ranging update to Coffee Buns!
We are rapidly approaching our summer release date, and that means we're entering the polish stage of development. With the story scope totally locked down, we know the exact extent of our visual novel and can start filling in the gaps.
With that in mind, let's show you what's new!
New Art - NINE (!!!!) new and completed CGs and inserts from The Transformistress
Mira was even busier than we told you last month and started a few new pieces that we didn't include in the last release. She completed those and a whole other set to provide you with perhaps the biggest collection of completed illustrations in an update ever!
We've got a new TG panel for Day 6 when Naomi doesn't witness it, a new CG for Day 31 when Leo is contemplating his life, outfit panels for both the Day 4 shopping scenes and the princess cosplay scene, wedding illustrations for both the reception and a full CG for dancing with Naomi, sandcastle building on Day 5, a completed bunnysuit couch CG on Day 7, and a glimpse at Naomi's debilitating salt habit.
There's so much to see that it's probably a good idea to to check the Gallery page in the Extras section to check what you're missing. We hope you have a fun time reliving scenes with the new art!
New Art - Arms galore and more!
KDhynamo has put out probably the biggest push of new art since the release of the first early access version in this update. We felt bad for Bonnie that she wasn't dressed appropriately in the latest update, so we gave her a nice ren faire dress to fit in at the wedding.
Beyond that, since we know nearly all the story content now, we know all the instances where we need certain arm poses and other sprite elements. KD has contributed dozens of all sorts of sprite elements from arms, to accessories, to even combo sprites featuring two characters!
There's more than we have space here for, but he's a taste of the new visuals you can expect to see:
Extras - The character viewer
We've been using the same character viewer from Mice Tea for development for years now, but we've finally polished it enough to put it the pubic builds! Look up your favorite outfits or rip sprites for your upcoming fan comic!
Writing - The big editing pass
This month we finally had the opportunity to incorporate the edits we received from our copy editor, so everything should be cleaner and clearer across the narrative. If there's anything we missed, you can always send it to our corrections form.
That's a pretty short update post, but hopefully we got across just how much we added in this version.
Also, you might remember we teased a big announcement this month about Coffee Buns, but we don't have everything in order for that drop, but it should be ready for next week. We'll see you then!
