DESCRIPTION

We're going to start all Dating Killmulator 2 posts with this warning:

Anything you view in these posts can and will change. Please don't get attached to any ideas; we're still in pre-production, so stuff is bound to change, that's just how it works.

We also kindly ask everyone not to publicly share any of the content in this post. It will be a secret between you and us.

On the programming side, everything has been quiet. We're expecting to start making programming updates somewhere next week, but Unai has been way too busy making sure Dating Killmulator 1 was in a state we were proud of before publishing it on the Play Store and Steam.

But that is not what this first blog post is about. We want to talk to you about Season 2, starting with the most important detail: all characters will be redesigned to allow for a new character system to be put into place. What will this system be? I'm not allowed to talk about it... yet.

However, I can show you a first look at what Abel will look like. Here’s what Núria had to say about the changes and the redesign:

Okay, we all knew I was going to start with my baby boy, Abel.

I’ve tried to keep the essence of what made Abel, Abel. During the first season, I felt like I was stuck with a version of the characters that I had somewhat outgrown. It’s not that I didn’t like them, but keep in mind I designed these characters over two years ago, and I always felt there were 'flaws' I could correct.

During this second season, I’ll try to have a wider body selection. What does that mean? All boys will have a different body type from the others. (Let’s be fr, Florian shouldn’t have a Hulk kind of body).

Regarding Abel’s redesign, I’ve toned down the shadows and lights. The hair falls where it should, and he doesn't have a V-shaped face (like a shoujo MC).

I’ve taken longer to make his naked torso (while looking at a LOT of references, wink wink). The colors are also toned down so they are pleasant to look at.

Nothing’s definitive, but I’ve taken a liking to this redesign for Abel. Hope you like it too!

If he looks a bit "stiff" to you, it's because of the "New system of characters" ;)
