Following an interesting conversation on alternate history after the update of An Impractical Guide to Godhood, I suspect several readers went to bribe Thor to get a one-shot about a story where the Norse Pantheon is at the heart of the saga.
Then, obviously, Thor went to bribe the Greek Muses (in Thor fashion, this means organising a drinking contest he will win effortlessly, getting everyone royally drunk in the process).
And thus inspiration seized me, ensuring I wouldn't know peace until I wrote the one-shot.
Sigh.
All right. Let's be firm and say it was solely a one-shot. I have currently no plan to make it a full story.
The characters and the setting here are using the universe of Rick Riordan, specifically the one of the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series, though obviously, it is an AU, so they are massive changes to it.
And yes, as the title implies: a lot of people are going to die. The Greek Pantheon (and Zeus especially) is very interested in fornication and other sexual stuff. The Norse are very concerned about battle, war, feasting, and drinking. Peace was never an option.
