Hey everyone! Let me present to you the Titan's Grasp, the second map for the Serene Camps theme.
There are many strange monuments to be found in the world. These relics are all that's left of a long-forgotten age, from before the Age of Dwarves and the Dragon Wars. They inspire myth and legend, of old heroes, ancient foes, and great times.
Titan's Grasp is the name of a strange petrified hand, protruding from the soil. Some believe it's a remnant of an old statue. The First Folk have left strange ruins throughout the continent. Some are remnants and have a semblance of old cities, though made of strange, hard stone. Others are collapsed ruins of incomprehensible buildings or architectural feats that inspire wild theories. If Titan's Grasp was indeed a statue, it would have towered over the land, higher even than the tallest spires of the Great Temple in Mirrouse.
But there are also those who believe that it's an old god, fallen and buried deep in the earth. The Gods of the Great Balance were not always the only true Gods, as there are many cultures in Wordal that worshipped others. Perhaps this was one of those gods, and it fell when its people turned away from it. Or maybe the god was slain. It is said that in ages long ago, there were champions strong enough to slay dragons single-handedly, and, sometimes, even gods. Legend has it that Kordus, the God of War, was once a mortal man who became so discontent with the Gods that he went up to the heavens and defeated Okorus, the Lord of Order, in single combat. He took the old god's place and now rules as the Lord of Order and the God of War.
Whatever the truth may be, all but the most foolish agree that Titan's Grasp is best left buried in the earth, for who knows what may be awoken when it gets unearthed?
