Alice is a little girl who looks like a lynx and ends up being both the accidental cause and victim of a terrible tragedy. She represents innocence destroyed by evil and becomes a symbol of a new generation that needs to be protected and fought for.
From the book “The Dance of Nine Flames”: In her village, the children were building snowmen. Alice didn't have enough snow for her snowman's hat, so she used a beautiful “blue ice cube” sticking out of the snow. This “ice cube” turned out to be one of the parts of an ancient spirit transformed into blue slime.
