Now we’d like to tell you about the new way mana works. We’ve decided to make mana flexible, just like health, so that we can implement new and interesting mechanics.
For example, a shield no longer simply blocks a single enemy attack but absorbs a certain amount of damage. That is, when Yoki activates a shield, the shield has a damage absorption limit. When damage is taken, this limit will be depleted, consuming mana. As soon as the limit is exceeded, the shield will be destroyed, and Yoki will take all damage exceeding the limit. If you voluntarily deactivate the shield, a cooldown will only appear if the shield has taken damage.
Due to changes in mana mechanics, its display in the interface has also changed. Instead of a single bar, we’ve broken down the mana amount into small lights, each containing a certain number of units.
In the future, we’ll be implementing even more interesting mechanics related to mana!
