Since I like these close ups to show sides of the characters we rarely get to see, I wanted to give Nyx a more demonic look this time around. Not her full transformation, mind you—that's something we'll save for a proper comic—but a small glimpse of what lies beneath her usual calm smile.
And since Nyx was Leon's original owner, it felt fitting to pair her sketch with one of Kyrie and Leon. Not only does it draw a nice parallel between his past and present, showing just how different Nyx and Kyrie are, but it also offers a little preview of the current arc and the kind of dynamic you can expect from it.

普段あまり見ることのできないキャラクターの一面をクローズアップで描くのが好きなので、今回はニックスに少し悪魔的な雰囲気を出してみました。もちろん、完全な変身ではありませんよ。それはちゃんとしたコミックで描くことにしますから。今回は、彼女のいつもの穏やかな笑顔の裏に隠された一面を少しだけお見せしたかったのです。
ニックスはレオンの元の持ち主だったので、カイリーとレオンのスケッチと並べて描くのがふさわしいと思いました。これはレオンの過去と現在をうまく対比させ、ニックスとカイリーがいかに違うかを示すだけでなく、現在のストーリー展開と、これからどんな展開が待っているのかを少しだけ垣間見せるものにもなります。
