What has been the general perception around the wrestling world to the quick expansion of MyAEW? What promotions would you like to see added to the MyAEW platform?
AEW made overtures to a lot of places and provided them a reliable outlet to host their content. AEW believes that they can do right what Triller did wrong, and have a huge library of content as well. If AEW ever needs it as their own platform, they can make it happen. I would like to see Revolver, GCW, HOG and the PWG library on it.
re FTR staying or leaving AEW?
I would expect them to stay with AEW. I think they were probably leveraging when the word got out regarding WWE interest, but I'm sure WWE is interested. They could always go back and finally do the FTRKO stable they wanted to do, and they're just as good as they were then. They have talked about retirement, but I don't expect that to happen. I think they are staying with AEW, but I wouldn't write WWE off.
SRS, hope all is well!! So I asked the LA Knight question on Wrestlevotes Q and A and then that spiraled into internet reports that the WWE office has more faith in Jey Uso and his in-ring ability over LA Knight. You’ve said time and time again about LA Knight and sometimes going overly above with his athletic traits which has led to some botches. Yet, his fan base and the response to him losing and Jey Uso advancing has zero influence from the botches… the fans want LA Knight to have a world title. His fan base only gets stronger. So what’s the end game? Is he better off somewhere else? Should WWE give him the chance? Jey Uso got the same opportunity and it was very lackluster so why not let LA Knight have a chance??
The only other option remotely similar financially is AEW, and I don't think he'd be a great fit there. He'll be 44 this year, and even though he's incredibly charismatic and athletic, it's a different kind of style there. I think WWE is the right place for him, they just simply have no idea what to do with him. Yes, they should give him a chance. At the very least a short title reign to have him reach that.
