Hosting a trivia event for wrestling for the 4th time next month- any random facts/trivia you can think of for summerslam?

There was a countout or DQ win in each of the first three years of Summerslam. When you go back and see how common that was on PPV events back then, it's kind of baffling. It happened a lot more on early WrestleManias, but almost never happens on PLE events. There was at least one on every Summerslam besides one through 1995! I would have felt so ripped off if I'd have paid my money for something like that.

If dom stays a Babyface in AAA, do you think they should make him a baby face on WWE tv? I think it’s time for a character change personally. Maybe you can have livdom babyface now that Maxine and Austin are the new heel couple.

I think WWE missed the boat on that. They're doing absolutely NOTHING with Finn Balor after turning him babyface. They moved him to Smackdown and he's had two matches. He's wrestled two tv matches in two months, but HE'S the one they needed to turn babyface? Dominik going babyface last year after winning the IC Title was the right move and WWE massively fumbled it. Now they have him doing the stuff with Danhausen instead of contributing to the upper midcard.

What news story from the last 5-10 years do you think came totally out of left field, not just for you but for every other journalist?

Well, it has to be the formation of AEW. Though the original news indicated that Jim Ross, Chris Jericho, and Barry Bloom were a bigger part of it than they actually were, SEScoops had a big chunk of it there. It doesn't seem like it would be that surprising now, but you have to remember the momentum that was happening with NJPW and ROH. This effectively split a lot of the talent. It was a point to where NJPW and ROH jointly were going to be a real option for talent. Then.....AEW!
