Sean, how are the Live event shows performing? Are they doing well that they will continue them or scale back again?
I haven't heard anything that jumps off the page to WWE. I think they're at a point of profit, they fit within the number of dates that the wrestlers have, and the wrestlers are getting reps. WWE is finding new ways to monetize them through viral social media clips and things like that as well. I believe that they will continue for the time being.
With FTR on hiatus and Cope & Christian headed towards the end, what do you see for AEW’s tag team division in 2027, and how would you reinvigorate the division? (I’m going to assume you’d want to consolidate the trios titles with the tag titles, which would be a big hell yeah from me too)
Well, I think it's going to be a greatest hits of the last 25 years of tag team wrestling. Cope & Christian, MCMG, New Day, FTR mixed in with the stars that they have now. I think there does need to be a "move over, we want our opportunities too" story that results in a lot of the older guard showing love to the newer guys. I think the division was at its best when winning those tag titles was just a slight bit behind the world titles.
Do you think it’s time for a creative change in wwe I feel the product is going in the wrong direction
Yes, and honestly I think some changes will be coming. I don't think Triple H is going to be out or anything, but I definitely think there will be some pieces moved around, promoted, and some things adjusted. I think there's a lot of creative in wrestling that's just lazy. Winning and losing needs to matter, there need to be less title belts, and there need to be contender challenging for titles.
