Hey everyone,
You might've noticed the radio silence this week - that's because I've been deep in production mode.
Splitting time between script work and CG production. It's a lot to juggle, but things are moving.
One challenge with this update: it requires a lot of foundation work - new backgrounds, coding, sprite work - that'll be reusable going forward but is a drag to produce upfront. It cuts into visible content, so I'm hoping the update won't feel too light given the time between releases.
On Pace
I saw some comments about the pacing being slow - even for a slow-burn game.
I understand and even agree to a point. But I'm not worried.
Act 1 was about establishing boundaries, testing comfort zones, building the foundation of trust and communication.
Act 2 is where that work pays off.
The couple is now free to really let go.
I'm excited (and a bit nervous) about what's coming. Act 2 will be challenging to write, but also different in ways I think will surprise people.

Still pushing to get this out before the holidays. The foundation work is necessary but time-consuming.
More concrete numbers coming as things stabilize.
