The Ultimate JCG's JOI Lottery Is Out! + Update
DESCRIPTION

Hey everyone!

Big news. The Ultimate JCG's JOI Lottery video is out!

This is a massive collab video created by multiple creators, and I believe it's the longest JOI on JOI DB so far. Well... technically it's available on joi.moe, a new site for watching JOIs, where an early version of TJC integration is now live. It's not perfect yet, and there are some bugs due to technical limitations (the site uses a different mechanism for playing videos), but the video itself is fully synced and there's a lot to look forward to.

For this big occasion, I decided that all features will be free in this video, so everyone can enjoy it fully. Think of it as a demo video showcasing what TJC can really do so you know exactly what you might be missing in other videos.

It uses almost everything:

The wheel minigame (multiple of them, actually. The initial wheel is not the only one!)

Conditional actions (and hell, they are complex, more on that below)

RNG

And thorough ending tracking, so you can easily see which girl you've already visited.

I haven't watched the whole thing yet, only fragments, but I can tell you this: the lottery isn't just for the girl... It's also for which creator made that segment. So the style and quality vary A LOT. Some segments are absolute PEAK... and some are, well... not so peak. So it's truly the ultimate lottery in every sense. 😄

Now, the actual update.

And no, sorry, it's not the toys yet.

This video was so complex and condition-heavy that it actually exposed a nasty bug that had been quietly sitting there the entire time. It's pretty technical, so I'll spare you the deep details. But let me try to describe it anatomically:

Imagine you have a basket of cherries, and the condition asks: "is there an apple among them?" So you open the basket and look. If there are only a few cherries, you can instantly tell whether there's an apple. But what if the basket is filled to the brim? You can't really tell unless you dig all the way through and verify there isn't an apple hiding at the bottom.

That's exactly what wasn't happening. The extension would open the basket, take a quick peek, see no apple on top, and confidently declare "nah, no apple" even when that wasn't necessarily true. That's now fixed. 🍎

There are also some background improvements to the RNG system, but again pretty technical, probably not worth explaining in detail.

Something more interesting are mobiles. 📱

Are you guys watching on phones? I had a feeling there might be a not-insignificant minority doing so, and when I recently tested it... yeah, it was pretty much unusable. The settings panel was overflowing and you couldn't properly see anything in it. That should be fixed now, so mobile users might now have a bit easier life.

That about wraps it up for now. I really hope the next update will finally be the toy integration release. It's shaping up nicely. I've done more testing and it works on mobiles too without any major issues. I fixed a few new things that popped up, and basically all that remains now is writing a proper guide on how to set everything up correctly.

So I'm aiming for an early July release... or maybe even June if I'm lucky. 😏

Stay tuned! ❤️
