Officer Madeline Maythorn - Age: 33, D.O.B January 30th.
Madeline is a cheery & easygoing H.C.P.D. Sergeant overseeing the “uniformed” officers of the force’s HQ.
Serving as something of an older sister figure to many, Maddie is well liked amongst her peers & subordinates alike, often going out of her way to accommodate others & taking on the responsibility of organizing the bulk of the force’s community activities & events. If there’s a H.C.P.D. cop you want to know more about, Madeline is the person to ask. She always takes particular interest in personally showing the rookies the ropes (and in turn, most end up showing her some pretty thick ropes of their own…)
As a social butterfly with a good sense of humor, Maddie is generally up for most things & is especially fond of sexual pranks - as long as the time & place is appropriate. Otherwise she will kick your ass, as she is among the highest rated combatants on the force.
In spite of such capabilities, her field performance is inconsistent. Most of the time she is a shining beacon of what the H.C.P.D. has to offer under Chief Officer Juggs’ more aggressive, results driven leadership. However, there are far too many occurrences of Sgt Maythorn being trivially bested by opponents a cop of her talents should have zero problems taking in. Nor do her medical records show signs of any personality disorders which would lead to such a baffling discrepancy…
Due to this, despite having more experience, she was passed over in favor of Officer Phoebe Fields for the recently filled Lieutenant's position, after Terry first rejected it. Though this truthfully isn’t something that bothers her one bit, as taking on more responsibilities just isn’t all that compatible with her already busy lifestyle.
Maddie loves to travel, doing so any chance she gets, spending all of her paid vacation days as soon as she can to visit all kinds of destinations both in Westerica & abroad. She’s not once failed to return to Hardwood without a precious souvenir, even if she’s only carried four of them to full term…

Designed by the wonderful popsiclebunny, Maddie is the latest addition to the ever expanding cast of Hardwood City Police Officers & will debut briefly in some upcoming Case of Conception pages as we delve back into the broader plot of this comic (The plot beyond Lara getting pregnant with Nabe's child).
Page 16 of CoC, as well as page 10 of Union Smashing, should both come out in February. Given everything goes according to plan, of course.
