Where They Are Right Now
In Episode 9 Part 1, Sabrina encountered her mother. It turned out a lot more unpleasant than she had hoped.
To make things even more awkward, MC was there and witnessed the whole ordeal. Their relationship has been growing closer for some time, and he can clearly see how much the situation affected her.
What This Update Does With Them
MC will try to figure out how Sabrina is coping.
She is guarded, cynical, and not particularly good at letting people see when something has hurt her. Even after everything MC has done for her, relying on someone still does not come naturally.
What I’m Trying to Capture
With Sabrina, I’m focusing on:
The emotional armor she built after her mother left, and how that shaped her ability to trust people.
Her discomfort with letting MC get too close emotionally, even after he has been helpful, respectful, and reliable.
The pressure of caring for a father with multiple sclerosis while still trying to have a job, relationships, and a life of her own.
