Hi everyone! ^w^
Short and sweet post again! In the middle of a big lewd animation which is filling up most of my days now!
As a small side project, we're in the middle of setting up a home server and have been migrating all our data over. A bit of a learning curve and definitely not as comfortable as modern services but the peace of mind is a good trade-off. Hosting our nsfw stuff on a cloud service is making me more and more nervous in the current climate. >_>;
Feline Fine-Tuning
We're past the keyframe stage in some parts of the animation now and have started blocking in the inbetweens and rough timings.
Character design is still mostly undecided though. Choosing colors, patterns, hair styles, ear shapes etc. is hard - especially with hand-drawn art, once it is decided it is like "This is what the enemy and all variations will look like". x_x
What do you think? Any combination of these catch your eye? ^w~
Once we've decided on the design for his body, the next big decision is gonna to be outfit and gear. What kind of EDCs does a desert-dwelling cat have? A plasma can opener? A nanofiber yarnball? A catnip vape?! Looking for something high tech but fitting for a desert environment... perfect excuse to rewatch some episodes of the Desert Punk anime! xD
Soundtrack Production
We also mapped out a production plan and design doc for the rest of the soundtrack. After GDC when MoonMink is back, we're looking to get into a more consistent music production flow, instead of only ordering music after art is done. Basically we want to get tracks rolling in parallel to ensure a coherent sound which is harder to do when working on it in fits and starts, here and there. That means a lot of the music will be made without concepts or art to back it up, but it could be fun to let the music guide the art and paint to the vibe of the songs! More on this soon!
THanks for reading! Now back to animating.. there are frames to be made. x_x
