Hey everyoneAs I mentioned in my last post, things are finally getting back on track. I've managed to make some good progress again, and I'm feeling a lot better and more relieved now that development is moving forward.
With the release getting closer, I'd like to start sharing more frequent devlogs and show you what we've been working on lately.
As always, thank you to everyone supporting the project. This game exists because of you, and we never take that for granted.
Data Menu
In this menu you can see character descriptions, preview their levels with different poses, check their stats, and change and preview their outfits.
Update on the map
TThe map style has changed a bit compared to the previous post. It now shows which locations are open or closed, where you currently are, and who else is there.
In the current update, you'll be able to unlock Amy's and Lucy's houses, although they aren't unlocked yet in these screenshots.
In future updates, I'd like to add more locations, making sure they fit naturally with the rest of the game and remain meaningful.
General UI
As you can see, the top UI has been redesigned.
I've also added an exclamation system to highlight events and important things, guiding you toward locations and characters.
There are now more notifications to clearly show what you've obtained, as well as yellow exclamation marks to indicate when there's something new to check.
The textbox has been redesigned as well, and there's now a separate variant used when nobody is speaking.
Some other menus have been updated.
I've also added more visual feedback in general. For example, gaining or spending money now has its own animation, and characters have subtle idle movements to make them feel more alive.
There's still more to show, so I'll probably make another post in a few days. I'm not sure yet whether it'll focus on the Virtual World mode or on the gameplay and story content, so stay tuned!
