Ok this is a bit of a new thing so let me quickly explain.
As I teased in the previous release post of 0.4, there was some stuff that didn't made it into the Early Access release that I want to add with this one.
Usually, however, that would've been part of the subsequent Public release. I learned a valuable lesson though with the previous Public release where there was a gamebreaking bug that wasn't in the Early Access and of course that's not great when that version gets thrown in the wide open world like that π¬.
So from now on I grant myself the option to do a secondary Early Access update when there are code-heavy things included just so my fellow supporters can have a first shot at it and I can catch any glaring issues early. For the public release it will then mostly be uncritical stuff, like the added video animations.
Which brings us to Chapter 3 0.45, which is exactly such a case!
So it would be super-awesome if you would replay the "neutral" ending of Chapter 3 with these additions and check if everything works. As a reward, if you meet the unlock conditions, there are also the final 2 secret gallery images waiting for you π.
Here's the list of changes:
Going to your car in the mansion overview now has actual interactable full screen renders
Remaining last 2 secrets can be unlocked in this chapter
Sneaking mini-game when you try to escape the army camp
More expressions in dialogue scenes with Sally Goldman
The "neutral" ending now has its own menu background/intro with Sally
Improved music selection
Better explanation which ending you unlocked when leaving cave in Chapter 2
The mansion free roam section now correctly acknowledges which parts you already visited
Platformer minigame is now also accessible in this Chapter 3 home scene (when you receive the newspaper)
Some more sound effects added
Updated cheat codes and Patreon "Explorer" supporter names
Still missing:
Video animations for H-scenes (it is super hot here where I live atm which makes rending without killing my GPU difficult π₯but hopefully I can get to it soon)
So yeah as this is 'only' a 0.05 update don't expect massive new content but as you can see above there's quite some work that went into it. Would be much appreciated if you give this a go and let me know if you encounter any issues. π Then we are pumpin' full steam ahead towards the public release and a soon-to-follow 1.0 version of Tomb of Destiny! π
