Hey everyone!
I'm here with the next WIP post. There aren’t too many new items this time, because once someone suggested I should make curved windows, I just couldn’t let it go. I immediately jumped into converting the 2-tile window into curved variants. I was really nervous about this task because it seemed so hard to make everything seamless, but the good news is that I actually managed to do it pretty easily, even though it took quite a bit of time! And I still have to put into the game the other curve sizes. It's actually surprising that each curved window requires eight different meshes, so it's quite a big task to make but I don't regret doing them because it will make this set more versitile.
Other than the windows and doors I started to make some furniture too, starting with the bench. I'm goind to do a 1-tile version of it. I imagined this outdoor scene where you can sit in front of the bookstore and browse through the used books placed outside. I drew inspiration from gothic style again, something I think will appear in the interior sets too, but I wanted to keep it simple and not too dramatic.
The third object is still in progress because I have to texture all the dozens of books, but it will be the used-books cart that sits in front of the shop. I’ll try to make the swatches so you can place more than one next to each other.
Next I'm gonna do the store signs and I plan to make different swatches not just book shop themed so you can use them for other commercial lots. If you have something you would like to see, a specific type of shop, let me know in the comments so I include that as a swatch!
I wanted to thank you for all the nice, supportive comments on this set, it makes really excited to work on it!
