Hey everyone!
I’m happy to announce that I was really productive, and I also took some time to relax! I’m trying out a new way to manage my time. I was never the list-writing, super-organized type, so basic project management is pretty new to me, don’t judge. :D I'm also did a new template for these wip posts, I was starting to dislike the waves.
The pictures are still from Blender, I haven’t put them into the game yet. I’m just dreading the update. :D
I wanted all the modeling done so I can do the textures. So what you see here are nowhere near done, I just wanted to show them to you. These smaller clutter objects are meant to fill up the counter I shared the other day. I tried to make them generic so you can place them in other settings not just bookshops. Of course, there are a few pieces made specifically for the bookstore, like the (unfinished) bookmark display and the (also unfinished) cardboard box of books, which I imagined just arrived and haven’t been unpacked yet.
And I have to mention the pen I made because when I was little that was my favorite pen!! It had the best tip to write with and now my sims can have it too. :D
I made a countertop bookshelf/display for this set, but I’m planning to do the bigger shelves and books in the next part. I needed something smaller for the counter this time. Someone suggested making displays for in-game books (also coming later), so I tried to make this one more usable by leaving space for books to snap to. I haven’t tested it in game yet, so I really hope it works but that’s the idea.
I'm really satisfied with myself with the progress and I was able to stop myself today from doing more items because if I want to finish this for the weekend I have to start doing the textures and swatches. So the plan is to upload this set on this Saturday/Sunday.
