One of the things that makes MC and Kohaku's relationship interesting, isn't that the RO (Kohaku in this case) has a bad crush on them, but that MC is fully aware of it and sort of has to pretend it's not there. It's a fun (and I think refreshing) dynamic that should lead to some juicy tension, regardless of whether your MC chooses to pursue them or not.
This is a big chapter featuring some fun & games at Nanbu Ranch, but it also gives us a lot more information on Lady Nanbu, her dynamic with her daughter/son, and what's at stake here. Ban'ei racing is just one of many facets of Japanese culture that I didn't know existed until doing research for this book, and I hope SoH helps you guys learn neat things about Japan as well!
