Phew. We made it, my friends.
You know... just barely.
I've been busting my butt the last few days to try and get Chapter 2 out to you as quickly as possible. I'm going to say here what I said in the Discord a couple days ago, since we're still a small and growing community overall.
At this point, I'm going to dedicate each update to one of the two major branches. Mage/Ascent (this route will be much clearer after you play Chpt. 2) & the Gladiator. Big branching moments will be limited to major decisions, whilst the general gameplay (choice) will be focused on dialogue affecting the MC's personality, his relationship with characters and stat-based interactions.
My vision is an Orphan update every 3-6 weeks of somewhere between 30-60k words in length. I'm also trying to include many more visuals and music/sound effects for the purpose of immersion and imaginative storytelling. Both major routes will have their fair share of lewdity, romance & action with a slowly unravelling story and the unveiling of a "weirdly" dark, fantasy world. There will be at least a few "side stories" or side branches that will explore a particular theme, character or scenario, and have their own fun alternative endings.
Chapter 3 should start to make this much clearer, which I'm excited for.
