So, it only feels like it's been a week since I did the last of these. That means it might have really only been one week, or it might have been a month.
Anyway, here's a brief rundown of what's going on. Migraines kicked my ass this weekend. Super fun. In much more fun news, I have finished Isekai Terry: Aggravating Hero Stuff. It came in at a respectable 115,000-ish words. It should make my publisher happy since they can say they have it in hand.
Now, here's some news I don't think I've officially shared here yet, but I think I can now. Audible picked up the Isekai Terry series for a 3-book deal. Book one has already been recorded and there's a tentative release date of January 20, 2026 for the first book (yes, there will be a kindle unlimited, ebook, and I presume paperback release that coincides with that. So, mark your calendars. For anyone wondering why I've been pushing so hard to finish book 2, this is why. Not having it done meant that they couldn't schedule it to be recorded, which was a pain in the ass for Audible, Amazon, the narrator, and my publisher. Now that it's done, there's an editing process to go through, but the scheduling can commence.
Speaking of the narrator, they got Eric Michael Summerer for the job. I'm very excited about this. He's one of my favorite narrators. A few things he's done that you might be familiar with are:
Glynn Stewart's Castle Federation series
James T. Callum's Beastborne series
and Schuld's Min-Maxing My TRPG Build in Another World series
along with a few hundred other books. It should make for a great listen.
Now, part of my brain is telling me that I should start book 3 right now. There are even some good reasons to do that. Sanity is telling me to take a week or two off from it. If for no other reason that it'll let me work on some other stuff (unwillingly summoned, for example) and catch up on a little sleep. Right now, I'm leaning toward option 2. We'll see how it goes.
I think that's the big stuff, honestly. I don't have any other pending releases for a few months, and I'm steadfastly refusing to start any new projects until I wrap up at least one or two of the current, partially written projects. And, yes, I'm still getting new ideas all the time. I'm just refusing to write anything on them for the time being.
Aside from that, I will try to get a new Unintended Cultivator chapter out tonight. It might be stupidly late/tomorrow morning, but it is coming. I wrote about 5000-6000 words this morning, so my imagination and brain feel pretty wrung out. I'm hoping that a nap and maybe some food will help with that.
