For the next city update, I have several ideas.
I’m thinking about adding trainers, like in Prayers of Distorted Minds, to give you a nice boost with each training session. I’ll also add magic books so you can learn new spells. Maybe I’ll make the trainers teach specific skills based on their training style. For example, “rogue” skills from the trainer who improves your Agility.
Besides that, I’ll add a house, or maybe a farm, I haven’t decided yet, where the MC will be able to start building his own warband. I’m still figuring out the system properly, and I’ll bring new polls in the future to hear your voices on the matter.
Obviously, I’ll also bring better items to the shops. I’m still unsure whether I’ll add every piece of equipment up to Masterwork quality, or only the best non-magical equipment from the region.
Lots of ideas, lots of tests will be done, but I’ll definitely bring the best combination of game design and that standard difficulty feel from my games. At the same time, I want to keep things simple, without needing a tutorial or walkthrough for every system. I’m working hard to make everything as intuitive as possible.
