DESCRIPTION

Sup, brothers!Instead of a v0.5 update progress, this week I'll release a big ass patchfix. I finally found solution to things that was bothering me, and bugging the game, for months.I fixed the lag in the mine maps. However, to do that, I had to “reset” the maps.

“Cas, does that mean I’ll have to do all the quests again?”

No. Completed quests were not reset, only the maps themselves. This means souls, treasure chests, traps, monsters, etc., have all returned.

From my point of view, that’s a small price to pay to finally get rid of that damned lag that has been haunting me for the last two months and that I just couldn’t fix no matter what I tried. Well, this time I pulled two all-nighters in a row, but I finally managed to get rid of the lag in the mines.

I also fixed some maps that were teleporting you into the middle of nowhere inside the labyrinths. That was a consequence of some previous attempts to reduce lag in the labyrinths.

I believe I also found the culprit behind the crashes. There was an audio system that, when transitioning music too quickly, would freeze and cause a CTD. I disabled that system. The audio may be a little lower now, but nothing too noticeable. Anything to get rid of those CTDs.

There are also a few other fixes about video freezing and for players who choose to skip the intro.

So that’s it, guys. Instead of posting a v0.5 update progress report, I’m releasing this big patchfix, v0.4.5, so we can all have more fun without getting frustrated by bugs in the game.

Now it’s all good vibes. Nice, smooth, fun, and cozy.

Let’s play!
