Sorry about the slight delay in posts. From now on we'll be doing one thing every week at least!
For now, here's the celestina unplugged video a week early because you guys are the best, better than any other group of people on the planet, dare I say superior to the gods above themselves. The realms quake at your elevated status.
As I'm sure you can tell, I am currently loopy out of my mind jet lagged. I got back from Japan last night after a 18 hour flight, and I had crying babies next to me almost the entire way. Yes, ~15 hours of crying babies. On the first one (Tokyo - San Francisco) there were two of them, one beside me and one behind.
I didn't mind though, because I was still riding on the high of visiting such a beautiful and unique country for the second time. Before heading over there I was reading Shogun by James Clavell, watching Tokyo Vice, playing Nioh 2, and listening to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History episodes on the Pacific Theatre in WWII, so pretty much all of my media consumption revolved around Japan. It gave this visit incredible depth compared to the first time I went in 2019, when I knew very little about the country.
The only country I could compare it to would be Iceland. Both so singular in their cultural ethos and natural aesthetic. I think I'll go there to make the next album.
Anyway, new demo coming tomorrow! I'm going to hunt down something I wrote for Skeletons, since that's what you all voted on.
