Sometimes I really love a certain demo from a writing period, but it just doesn't fit with the aesthetic of the album. Like I said before, I am pretty ruthless with the tracklists for albums, and have a general principal of cutting any chaff, only including things that feel absolutely necessary for the overall narrative and flow.
This demo from the Cataclasm writing period was like that. I liked it a lot and would have loved to build it out, but when I laid the album out and included it, it didn't feel like it was adding very much substance or variation.
LYRICS:
And I can see the glory of your mind is all aroundTucking me in my bedFloating ‘round my room, your darkenss rests here every nightWith the weight of your endless words
Let me in your mindI’m coming up, breathing your airI’m watching time pass byI’m helpless againI hear the weight of a thousand miles in your trembling words
I was in the etherComing up, saying your nameI saw the shape of your mindIn the broken clayFelt myself float up, sillhouette in the shimmering light

I was in Alaska climbing some mountains last week and didn't get to post a BTS, but I haven't forgotten!
