I made this demo the day after the last one, Kare Wa Saku. Allodynia is pain felt from stimulus that would normally not be painful, due to oversensitivity. I'm sure a lot of you can relate to that, if not physically then definitely emotionally.
Similar to the last demo, this one was really interesting and had some neat elements, but just didn't end up growing into anything that fit the world of Exuvium.
The inner part that guides the creation of these albums is so fascinating to me. On one hand, it's this process of discovery - I never know what an album is about beforehand, I'm unearthing what is going on inside of me, learning what needs to be expressed. On the other hand, right afterwards, there's such a brutal aspect of judgement and perfectionism, being ruthless and refusing to incorporate anything that isn't clearly telling part of a larger story.
I guess it's a perfect example of how we need both sides of any characteristic. Absolute permissiveness, intense judgement; both have their place, and without either of them the creative process would not be complete.
