DEMO - Capitulate

This song a day scratch track from the WIDOW writing period is a perfect example of how initial tracks can be all over the map. I was depressed all day, and the only thing I could bring myself to do was open up GarageBand on my phone and record something in bed.

DNA was birthed in the same way. Me cuddled up under the covers yelling shit into my phone just to cross off the to-do list item and go back to sleep.

I like showing people these poor quality demos -- not just the slick produced ones -- to illustrate that when you are creating, the only priority is getting something done. It doesn't matter whether it's a fully written and produced track, or a weird acapella piece recorded on a phone mic.
