This was not how Daphne Greengrass thought her day would go.
After a night of poor rest, she had paid an exorbitant amount for a pepper-up potion from one of the many vendors at the World Cup. Potions were marked up in price by greedy merchants on purpose at events like this, taking advantage of the marketplace of drunk Quidditch fans who were desperate to be in the right state of mind to watch the game.
For her part, Daphne wasn’t drunk, but rather exhausted and horny from listening to Potter and her sister for a good part of the night. Even a day later she had been on edge and turned on by the slightest touch, her breaths coming out in short gasps when her hard nipples brushed against her tight bra.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, she then had to attend a loud Quidditch game, all while surrounded by ravenous and drunk wizards and witches. The Davis family weren’t wealthy like Daphne’s own, being forced to sit with the general public rather than in an exclusive box as she was accustomed to. Interestingly, it was something that never bothered her roommate, as to the girl’s credit, Tracey Davis had never cared much for material possessions.
But that didn’t meant Daphne was the same, her tired and oversensitive body fighting the pepper-up potion every step of the way. All the while she mentally cursed the dark-haired wizard who had done this to her. It had been him who came up with this whole scheme to attend the World Cup in the first place, him who took her Mother and Astoria away from her, and him who kept her up last night.
She had fumed and silently seethed unlike ever before, and chosen to stay with Tracey’s family after the game rather than drag herself back to the Greengrass tent. The thought of possibly seeing Potter and her sister again reared something ugly within her, and it scared her that she didn’t know what she would do if such a situation was to play out.
They had talked and partied for only a little while before sleep got the best of them all, caused by the lengthy Quidditch game they had just watched.
Then came disaster.
Death Eaters, bandits, rioters, pureblood supremacists, Daphne didn’t care what people called them. Madmen roamed the campground, setting fires and sending curses at anyone in sight, which would’ve been the worst of it had it not been for the stampeding crowd. Witches and wizards scrambled over each other in their haste to escape, buoyed on by the men in dark robes.
Her and the Davis family barely got out of their tent in time before a random fireball lit it up like a matchstick, and then the situation only got worse from there.
Her and Tracey’s family were separated, with her best friend only managing to shout out Daphne’s name in fright before they were whisked away by the whims of the crowd.
Astoria. She feared for her sister in that moment, especially when reminded of the girl’s poor health, before remembering that the Greengrass tent had a floo built into it. Their tent was more sturdy than the Davis one after all, enchanted with runes that would ward off any wayward spells or intruders. Astoria would have more than enough time to floo out and get back to Greengrass Manor before any intruders got to her.
That only left Daphne to find her way to safety, yet she could hardly double back around to their family tent. The Death Eaters had been that direction after all, and were likely spreading out and searching for new victims.
A man stumbled hard into her shoulder as she did her best not to get trampled, nearly knocking her to the ground in the process. She caught herself at the last second, heart hammering painfully against her ribs. For one brief, desperate moment, she considered forcing her way back. But another burst of screams rippled through the campsite, followed by a flash of light somewhere behind her.
Nope, definitely not that way. Her mind raced, trying to think through the fear clawing at her chest, and that was when she saw it. A narrow opening between two half-collapsed tents leading toward the treeline, and she dashed through it without hesitation.
Branches scraped against her arms as she stumbled into the woods, her shaky fingers clutching at her wand. All while the forest swallowing her quickly, the frantic noise being dulled to a distant blur of shouting, crackling fire, and the occasional sharp pop of spellfire detonating somewhere beyond the trees.
Light spilled through gaps in the canopy, pale and fractured across the forest floor, and she only slowed once she was certain no one had followed.
She bent slightly, bracing a hand against a nearby tree as she fought to steady her breathing. Her lungs burned from exertion, and her hands trembled so badly she had to curl them into fists.
Suddenly, a twig snapped behind her, making her jolt. Daphne spun, wand already half-raised as he mind tried to come up with spell. Yet she was too slow, as a red jet of light struck her wrist, and her wand was flung out of her grasp.
She gasped and fell to the ground in a heap, and that was when two figures emerged from the trees. They were both tall and darkly cloaked, their pale masks gleaming faintly as she immediately recognized who they were.
“Well, well.” One of them drawled mockingly. “What have we got here?”
“A little lost lamb.” said the other.
Daphne backpedaled on the ground instinctively, before she clumsily stood up on shaky legs. All the while her breathing was shallow and uneven, her typically icy facade forgotten.
“I-I’m a pureblood.” She stated, hating the shake in her voice. “Greengrass.”
The first Death Eater tilted his head. “That so?”
The second laughed. “All the better.”
He moved before she could understand what was happening, seizing her arm with bruising force.
“Let go of me!” She kicked hard, connecting with his shin.
A hiss of irritation answered her. “Hold still, bitch.”
A spell shot from a wand, and thick conjured ropes lashed around her abdomen, pinning her against a nearby tree trunk. Two other loops tightened around her waist and ankles, and that was when she heard herself scream loudly, before her mouth was gagged.
The bark dug painfully into her back, yet she barely noticed it. She was too busy thrashing around fruitlessly, desperately trying to break free.
“Stop moving.” One snarled, hands moving down to undo his outfit.
Her pulse thundered in her ears, eyes glassing over as her face was stained with mascara from tears. This wasn’t happening. This could not be happening.
One of the men glanced back toward the distant campsite. “We shouldn’t linger, the aurors will be here soon.”
“Relax. No one’s coming this far out. Avery and Selwyn made sure to keep the DMLE busy anyways.” The Death Eater closest to her replied, before pointing his wand at her yet again. A conjured black cloth snapped over her eyes, as the ropes tying her to the tree began to loosen.
That was when she heard the sound of spellfire once again, one of the Death Eaters stumbling and swearing in pain. The incantation of dark curses made her stomach clench uneasily, along with the distinct sound of tearing flesh.
“No! You’ll pay for that!” The man who blindfolded her was yelling in rage. “Avada-”
He didn’t get halfway through the incantation before suddenly stopping, a thud echoing out as he fell to the ground.
The next few moments were far too long, as Daphne didn’t dare breathe or make a sound. Then her binds were suddenly dispelled she fell to the ground in a heap, her limbs quivering under her as she tried to force down her emotions and analyze what was happening.
There was only one man in the clearing before her, possessing dark hair and green eyes that she had spent far too much time fantasizing about. Of all people, it had been Harry Potter who was in that clearing, who had saved her.
He approached slowly, his large and masculine form enveloping her in his shadow. She could feel her heart beating then, racing at a different pace compared to before. His scent met her nose, that of sweat and musk, making her cheeks redden unconsciously.
She found herself eye level with his trousers, and it came with a clear view of his bulge. She was so close to it, and even soft, she could tell that he was huge. Not even a foot away, his sweat only making his clothes stick to his skin, outlining the tubular shape that neared a foot in length.
Her core was dripping, wetness soaking her panties as saliva began to build up in her mouth, a thin strand beginning to leave her lips. She thought back to Astoria and how he had used her the night before, and how that would soon be her fate. This was it. He would take her.
There would be nothing to stop him now. Here, alone in this forest after he had saved her life, right up against one of the surrounding trees. Not even Astoria or her Mother would step in, if anything they would help him do it.
She winced when his hand moved downward, expecting for him to go for her hair or neck, yet instead he grasped her shoulder in a comforting manner. His fingers were nimble and light, and especially long as was suited to a Quidditch seeker. She barely felt any force as he helped her up, smiling at her encouragingly all the while.
“Come on.” Harry Potter said unexpectedly. “We need to get out of here.”
“Huh?” It was embarrassing that she only managed that one syllable, before they were moving.
It was like she was in a daze as Harry guided her through the forest, and she was lucky that they passed by her wand and she remembered to pick it up.
He guided her through the forest, navigating around dense trees and thick roots while the sound of screams and spellfire could be heard in the distance. Neither of them spoke, and it was only a few minutes after they started walking that Daphne realized she was holding his hand.
/////
It wasn’t everyday that her youngest daughter barged into her office while screaming bloody murder.
Sure, Astoria had always been the liveliest member of their family, but she typically didn’t go this far. And it was only once Aspasia began to actually listen to her daughter that she realized just what was happening
She had come straight from the campsite at the Quidditch World Cup, using the floo built into their family tent to escape back to the Manor. The tent’s wards had alerted Astoria to an attack, and a brief glance outside had showed absolute pandemonium taking place in the campgrounds.
Luckily, the brunette had the common sense to return home rather than leaving the safety of her tent to seek out Harry or her sister. Aspasia would much rather find out the two were missing now, rather than learn all three had been harmed, or worse, hours after the fact.
And so the Greengrass Matriarch raced to the nearest floo in the manor, trying the address for their family tent, only for it to fail. That’s not good.
Ignoring the fact their family tent was likely destroyed, being an item of immense expense her grandfather had paid a small fortune for decades, Aspasia was forced to apparate.
The campgrounds of the Quidditch World Cup were warded, and she didn’t want to risk bouncing off the Ministry-implemented wards and splinching herself in the process. And so she arrived at the edge of the camp, finding a literal mob of witches and wizards.
Foreign magicals shouted out in half a hundred different languages, all while wounded were hastily dragged out to be transported to Saint Mungos. That wasn’t to mention the army of aurors descending on the scene, barking orders and trying to maintain order.
Even if it wasn’t the right thought to have in midst of such a disaster, Aspasia couldn’t help but recognize how much of a political shitstorm this would be. Their Minister was a man renown for shoving every incident under the rug, yet in front of her was an international calamity of unprecedented scale, something that might actually end Fudge’s career.
Something to think about later. She mentally decided, knowing the only issue to focus on now was finding Harry and Daphne. Her eyes searched the crowds desperately, cataloging hundreds of faces yet having no success.
“Point me, Daphne.” She whispered, only for her wand to circle around aimlessly. There was simply too much magic in the air, along with the presence of wards, which could easily interfere with such a simple spell.
“Point me, Harry Potter.” Once again, no success.
That was when she finally spotted someone familiar. “Amelia!”
Amelia Bones, Director of the Department of Magic Law Enforcement, was someone that Aspasia worked with frequently at the Ministry. They were both similarly aligned politically, toeing the thin line of neutrality between the Light and Dark factions. As such, they found themselves working together more often then not.
The redheaded woman turned. “Lady Greengrass? I’m afraid my time is short, so please make it quick.”
“I’m looking for my heiress, it’s urgent.” She said, before hesitating. “And, um-”
“Yes?”
Fuck. It was only then she realized the situation she was in. Hers and Harry’s relationship was still secret, but his safety took priority in that moment. “I am also looking for Harry Potter.”
While not exactly close friends, she knew Amelia well enough to know the woman was rarely caught off guard. Her face morphed into one of shock and confusion in that moment, before outright alarm replaced it.
She looked around urgently, before calling over a nearby auror. “Nymphadora, come!”
“Tonks.” The pink haired auror muttered, walking over while looking embarrassed. “I go by Tonks.”
“You’re one of my most promising aurors, Cadet Tonks.” Amelia said, making the woman stiffen in surprise. “I urgently need you to find a person of interest right now, and do so discreetly without running your mouth.”
“You can count on me!” The woman saluted. “Who do you want me to find, Madam Bones?”
“Find Harry Potter and bring him to me immediately.”
“Yes, Ma’am.” She agreed before running off.
As soon as she left, Amelia’s gaze shifted to her. “For now, I’m going to assume you asked me to find Harry Potter due to the sensitive nature of this… disaster.”
“Sensitive nature?”
“Death Eaters.” The words made Aspasia stiffen. “Whether some of them got drunk and decided to cause chaos for old times sake… or whether this was a coordinated effort, remains to be seen.”
Right then, a boom sounded out followed by a green flash, causing quite a few people to shriek in terror. Both witches looked up to see a grimly familiar skull and snake conjured in the sky, something Aspasia had only seen twice before, and only several decades ago.
“I have a feeling it’s the latter.” She voiced faintly.
“Indeed.” Amelia nearly growled. “I’ll have to do everything to make sure Fudge can’t sweep this under the rug. This time, at least.”
“Shouldn’t you… mobilize?” It felt wrong that the DMLE Director was standing here talking to her rather than shouting orders.
“Alastor Moody and Bartemius Crouch have taken charge on this one, and they’ll report anything important back to me.” The redhead turned, her monocle eyeing her closely. “To be honest, I’d much rather know why you of all people is asking about Harry Potter?”
Her tongue felt tied, not wanting to lie or obfuscate, while also knowing this wasn't the right place to reveal the outright truth. Aspasia Greengrass preferred to stay on the good side of Madam Bones, and didn’t want to push the woman away with obvious half truths. “Harry has become… close to my family, as of late.”
“Harry, huh?” Amelia’s brows rose at her words. “Didn’t see that coming-”
“Boss!”
They both turned to see that pink auror from earlier had returned, with Harry and Daphne following behind. Both of them looked rough, especially her daughter, whose arms and legs were red and nearly bleeding.
Aspasia also noticed that the two were holding hands, her eldest having a dusting of pink across her cheeks that only became more apparent when she looked Harry’s way. She fought the urge to smirk, feeling a special kind of happiness swell up inside her. He’ll need a reward after this.
But there were more pressing issues than sex to think about, such as why the two were in such poor condition.
“What happened?!” She demanded.
“Death Eaters, there were three of them in the forest.” Harry answered. “They captured Daphne, but I managed to subdue them and get her out.”
Amelia shot her a look, and Aspasia realized the DMLE Director probably thought her eldest and Harry Potter were in a relationship. Not that she wouldn’t be wrong to think so... “That was very brave of you, Mr. Potter. Are you alright, Ms. Greengrass?”
“Yes, Madam Bones.” Daphne replied primly. “And thank you for your concern.”
“I’ll have some of my aurors search the forest and capture anyone they find in Death Eater robes.” Amelia stated. “For now, you’re free to go.”
“See ya around, lovebirds!” The pink haired auror called out as they left.
Daphne shot a scathing look at the woman, and hastily pulled her hand out of Harry’s grasp. Aspasia had to fight back a chuckle, grasping the two tightly before apparating back to Greengrass Manor.
