Hi all, first off let me apologize for the lack of updates for a while now.
I tried to hold off doing this until I really needed to but circumstances being as they are, I do think I have to make this post now. Last week, I received a call that a family member of mine has been hospitalized. While at first I thought to myself that he'll be fine, ultimately it weighted too much on my mind.
There's the matter of the severity of that incident, so I was not able to get any work done or at the very least, at a snail pace.
I generally try my best to keep my personal matters as an aside to what I do here, but this has affected me greatly to the extent where I have not even been posting updates every weekend (as I would usually do.)
With all that said, I'm a few hours away from a flight to where this family member of mine is. Yes, it wouldn't have been that big of an issue if they were in close proximity.
Unfortunately, that means the project will be on hold for at least two weeks. I've been told that it should be alright and there'll be care given but I still think it a better choice for me to fly there. I don't think I can nor should I be working on the project while there either.
And because I am an adult and have my commitments (this game being one), I can't be gone for too long which is to say that I'll be flying back in a week or two. Without delving too much into the family member's condition, I have an obligation to be there regardless even if they are not in any immediate danger.
I hope you can understand.
As for the game, the reason for this post is twofold, the first being the obvious delay and the second being a way to not let anyone waiting for an update this month hanging. I won't lie and say that the medical bills and the flight ticket cost me a fortune and that money is not important however I've always been transparent with you guys best as I can. At least I hope I was. So, I want you to know that there won't be an update this month and if you want to drop the monetary support and come back later, I understand.
That is all from me. I'm not the type to delve deeper into my personal life but I also think communication is important.
