DESCRIPTION

I've treated Patreon posts as a way to speak my thoughts before, but I haven't really thought about using it as a pseudo-blog. After talking with some mutuals about their own process on here I figured it'd be a good thing to start getting into the habit of. Also this reminds me to practice more which I'll get into later.

Aka: You get frequent patreon only sketches and whatever I have to say; if you wanna read through it.

From my side I've noticed that I'm slowly starting to fall into a dangerous trap of complacency.

If you draw, or do any sorta hobby that engages a audience. You might notice after a while of getting good at said thing, you might begin to become less intrinsic about it. It's fairly normal imo, and happens the longer you do something.

Subconsciously you reach goals and begin to do things without much deeper thought. I remember back in 2020 when I first started to take art seriously I had a real rapid relationship of learning and exploring those skills. Now I don't have a huge problem with my content or the process of my design but feel like I've dulled my skills where it cant keep up with those mental components. Technically speaking I could be extremely better at my craft.

I haven't been drawing any actual practice stuff within the past year or so that's outside my comfort zone and just drawing to post. Which isn't healthy.

Of course I'm being a bit melodramatic. All to say I'd like to try and hone that skill to have a better dynamic with my design. But I'm gonna try and practice more to fix that, just general gesture drawings to work on my poses, anatomy and perspective. (And coloring probably)

That's where these blogs come in so I can remember to do them. So it's a win for me and a double win for you.

Also these won't be as serious LOL just whatever's happening recently. I'll probably talk about the projects I'm doing with my guns or whatever pensive purchases I make.
