Setting up today's drawing. (Top right corner) Also trying to practice some male figures. Mainly getting my refs from GITs and occasionally the artist for Break Wolf. I like the very stocky or rugged look.
Very appealing how Shirow can get away with such clean but distinct looking faces for each of them. Not only that but carving that solid look into something pretty charming and expressive.
I think the biggest challenge is just keeping a masculine look throughout all expressions. Little tiny things such as eye shape can change so much. Defining features like noses or hair also gets flipped when you swap over to masculine designs. I tend to draw mainly women cause I like drawing them more haha but I would like to expand my skillset more.
I've done some occasionally in the past but I'd like to bump up those numbers.
