I meant to save the work on this one for today but ended up just drawing it last night lol. Not completely happy with it but I wanted to sketch something.
I notice something I do when looking back at the sketch is I neglect that little nuanced positions of certain body parts. Specifically this below.
Still achieving the same effect, but there's a candid look lost with her chin being a bit tucked in and face at a much sharper angle. Of course I don't realize these things till the thing is finished. No reason to tie a new knot now.
Also I've messing around with some more "rendering" techniques too. Just something for a bit extra flare. Here's a super rough example of doing like a fluorescent glow. Basically taking the light layer then adding a blur effect. Will be fun to try.
Lastly is I'm still working through commissions. There's two on my current work order but about a half dozen request I'm interested in doing after all is finished. Commissions are very fun, all the clients I've worked with have been super nice. But I wish I was a bit faster with them; it's just I wanna make sure everything is clean so it takes a little longer. On-top of that I have to do a background & color the character for this one specifically. So I took a tiny break to warmup with some personal pieces w/backgrounds so I get back into the mindset for it.
