This series continues to amaze me with how effortlessly it balances chaos with heart.One minute I'm barely breathing because Anya is making a peanut bomb and dropping insane one liners and the next I'm sitting there quietly reflecting on something surprisingly meaningful. Something deep that makes me think about IRL moments/people/situations.The Bond episode was GREAT. I love how quickly Loid just accepted that Bond was helpful on this mission with him even though it was high stakes. That man is amazing at adapting to any situation. Loid's misunderstanding that Bond was on the mission because he was driven by some deeper emotional purpose was a hilarious misunderstanding. Bond was really just trying to save himself from Yor's cooking all along lol. I love that there was a whole bit centered around Bond because even though he's the family dog there's still so much more to him as well.I also loved Damian's episode so much! Watching his friends be there for him no matter what was incredibly sweet. And their much needed fishing and canoe adventure reminded me so much of how healing it can be to just step away from expectations and pressure and let the world slow down for a moment. Nature is so healing. It inspired me to pencil in a camping trip with my family sometime soon just to be in nature. See stars. Stop the noise for a little while.Then Episode 3 surprised me completely.The shift in tone.Following Yuri through his work with the secret police was heavy. I think once Yuri discovered the truth about the conspiracy writer, the world stopped being so black and white for him. He still did his job. He had to. But it felt like something really shifted inside of him. Like a little seed of doubt was planted.I love this season so much already.The episodes were funny and wholesome, yes.
