WHAT A FINALE 🔥
I knew this arc was going to be important. I felt it from the very first episode. The calm before the storm. The stillness, the eyeballs in the night, the Hashira pushing themselves to prepare for whats to come, the wholesome moments shared between everyone leading up to this point. This entire arc felt like standing at the edge of a cliff, and this finale finally pushed us off. Into the depths of the Infinity Castle.Ubuyashiki completely stole the finale. For so long he has been a quiet, gentle presence. But this finale revealed just how incredible he truly is. Why he suffers from the illness he has. It linked such a vital piece to the story of who Muzan is and where he came from. His conversation with Muzan was one of my favorite moments in the series BY FAR.While Muzan sees death as a weakness and spends his entire existence clinging to life, Ubuyashiki understands that what truly lasts is the will, love, and sacrifices we pass on to others. We pass down through generations. His speech about humanity was EVERYTHING.Ubuyashiki had the upper hand all along. Which was a SHOCK to me.He knew Muzan would come. He knew his arrogance would bring him directly into his estate.Everything. From his sacrifice to the trap, Tamayo's reveal, and the Hashira's fueled assault. It was all a part of this plan he was patiently waiting years to set into motion. For the first time, it felt like Muzan wasn't controlling the board.Ubuyashiki hit him with the Check. But then that ending came. The Infinity Castle being revealed to everyone. It was breathtaking & intense. Watching everyone get pulled into that endless labyrinth while the music blasted into our soul. It felt like Demon Slayer crossed a threshold. The training is done and over. The waiting game has ended. The final battle is officially here. And it's going to be INSANE.Now that we're all in the same waiting boat until Infinity Castle gets here, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who joined me on this journey. It's been amazing and beautiful and intense. It's kind of crazy thinking back now to how I've gotten here. Frieren may have introduced me to anime, but Demon Slayer showed me just how much depth, heart, beauty, and emotion this medium has to offer. Frieren wasn't a one-off like everyone described. Somewhere along the way, anime stopped being something I was trying out and became something I am genuinely obsessed and in love with. This series was INCREDIBLE.I laughed, I cried, I sat stunned in silence more times than I can count lol.Infinity Castle, I'm ready for you!! Or at least I think I am 😅I watched the trailer right after this so I'll be posting my reaction to that soon!
