Where to even begin writing about how beautiful and jaw dropping this series is so far...
At this point, I trust you all when I'm recommended an anime over and over again. And Violet Evergarden has been on my list since I started Frieren and started getting anime suggestions to begin with! So I went into this one without any trailers, synopsis, or even knowing the general genre it was lol. I just hit send. And wow. After only two episodes, I get why this one is mentioned so often. These episodes were heavily quiet. In a way that makes you look closer and listen harder. Every scene feels deliberate. Every pause feels meaningful. And the MUSIC. It's a whole character of it's own.Violet fascinates me. Watching her reminds me a lot of Frieren. Someone learning how to feel basic human feelings. How to feel love & connection & what it really means. It makes Violet immediately heartbreaking. All she understands are orders. Tasks. Missions. Survival.Major Gilbert's final words, "I love you" changed everything for her. They're words she desperately wants to understand.Words she won't stop searching for in everything she does. There's something so tragic about that. About her. To know a phrase is important and that it clearly matters so much. But to not actually know what it means. The animation is breathtaking.Every frame feels painted.I caught myself constantly feeling like I was in a trance. The way certain scenes swept me away and the music would swell. Two episodes in and I can't help but NEED to know more about Violet. And if this entire story really is about her learning the meaning behind those three final words... I already have a feeling this journey is going to hurt in every best way possible.Thank you for your support on Patreon!Relax and enjoy 🍿🌿Want to watch in dub?Sync Along Video Link: https://youtu.be/MHqmbKiisJEI watched this on Netflix in original Japanese with subtitles
