Today we’ve got a Delta update that we’re very excited for y’all to try, since it includes a lot of changes we’ve been thinking about for a while. In addition to all the cool new features we’ve been working on, we also want Delta 2.0 to improve on all the basics. So in this beta, we’ve rethought a lot of the ways we’ve been doing things:
⭐️ Recents and Favorites
We’re really excited to finally be adding Recents and Favorites to the Delta Game Library! Recents will automatically show your games in a chronological list based on when you last played, in case you like to swap around between a few games. And with Favorites, you can now curate a list of the games you always want quick access to — just long-press any game in your library and you can set it as a Favorite!
🫧 Liquid Glass Pause Menu
We’ve completely redesigned the Pause Menu by giving it the full Liquid Glass treatment! In our quest to bring the entire Delta app up to date with iOS 26, we’ve fully modernized the Pause Menu with Liquid Glass. We’ve also tweaked the appearance of save states and cheats to fit in seamlessly with this new design. Plus, we have even more little tweaks coming soon!
🏆 RetroAchievements Refresh
We’re continuing our progress on RetroAchievements support in Delta with an updated new look for achievements! The banners for your achievements have also been refreshed thanks to Liquid Glass, and now include more information from the RetroAchievements site. When you get an achievement, a sleek purple banner will appear, complete with the title, icon, and specifics for your achievement. Additionally we have a new banner that will appear at game launch, showing you your current progress on achievements for that game. 🛠️ QoL Updates
In addition to everything above, we still have a few good QoL improvements in this update. Delta now supports using cheats with Genesis games, a toggle to disable RetroAcheivements for specific games, and per-game Fast-Forward speeds. We also updated our “What’s New” screen so that you can see what’s coming in the final release instead of the features we added back in 1.7 🤪 There are a few other minor changes, so be sure to read the complete release notes!
P.S. For fans of AltStore Classic wondering when the next update is coming – don’t worry! Now that AltStore PAL 2.3 has been released, we’re planning an update in the near future to bring Classic more up to date with PAL in addition to some improvements to keep Classic working as it should. We’ll have more details to come soon!
